Travel to United States

Flag of United States

Comprehensive travel to United States destinations can be difficult. There are so many distinct regions that, while there's something for everyone to enjoy, something will always be missed. The distances involved can also be a challenge, as travelling by land gives you a much greater chance to experience all parts of the US, but will take much longer as well.

The visitor with a metropolis in mind has a number of options. The most internationally renowned city in the States is, uncontestedly, New York City, which is famous for its five boroughs, each with their own recognizable architecture, including the well-known Statue of Liberty near historical Ellis Island. A traveler seeking the "New York experience" would do well to visit Murray's Bagels for a quick lunch, see a show on Broadway, watch a movie in Tribeca, or simply enjoy Central or Washington Square Park's atmosphere and street musicians. Other cities of note include the stately Chicago, rowdy Boston, Los Angeles (known as the epicenter of the film industry), the friendly and open-minded San Francisco, jazz-and-bourbon New Orleans, sunny Miami, sprawling Austen, or the nation's capital of Washington D.C.

The Unites States also has many site of natural beauty, far from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Yosemite, Yellowstone, Denali, and Mesa Verde are all awe-inspiring national parks which attract visitors both national in international. Arizona is also home to the Grand Canyon, which is the world's largest and most visited canyon. New York State lays claim to half of Niagra Falls, and the Northeast's "Great Lakes" hold 21% of the Earth's total supply of fresh water.

Too sprawling to be succinctly summarized, the United States contains so many distinctive places and cultures, the traveler willing to do their research will undoubtedly find something to be enjoyed.
